CypherCon and Midwest Gaming Classic Announce Partnership
CypherCon, Wisconsin’s Hacker Conference, and the Midwest Gaming Classic trade show announced a location partnership, combining some of the unique feel of each trade show as the two events will be held consecutively at the Wisconsin Center. CypherCon 3.0 will be held on April 12 and 13, and the Midwest Gaming Classic will be held on April 14 and 15 with a special limited attendance event to occur on the night of April 13th.
The combination of the two events will open up additional avenues to new programs and resources for both, bridging exciting STEM topics between the world of hacking and gaming to pursue their curiosity and education in both similar topics. The partnership also gives attendees who would like to attend both conventions a convenient location.
“CypherCon is all about changing how things work to improve them, and many of us started because of the curiosity that computers created for us through different games. In my world of cyper-security, we are constantly surprised by how many people were inspired by gaming to learn how to improve items around them. We are excited for this opportunity to better serve our community and inspire students with a creative, unique, and safe social atmosphere. We feel that putting these two groups together is key to motivating the next generation in a fun way towards real world solutions that apply to creative futuristic careers.” Says Michael Goetzman, Creator of CypherCon.
