Stephen Sims is an offensive security practitioner, curriculum lead for Offensive Operations at the SANS Institute, and co-founder of Off By One Security, an offensive cyber security startup and YouTube channel dedicated to giving back to the community through intermediate to advanced educational sessions. He is co-author of the 4th, 5th, and 6th editions of Gray Hat Hacking, and the lead author of the upcoming 7th edition. Stephen has keynoted and spoken at DEF CON, RSA, OWASP AppSec, B-Sides events, and many others. His work focuses on exploit development, offensive tradecraft, and the practical realities of integrating AI into security operations.
